Suzhou Tour, Zhuoheng Garden & Garden of Master's Nets. Embroidery Institute in Huanziu Garden. Enjoy traditional Chinese embroidery skills. Transfer to Huzhou Anji County to overnight for next day's eclipse. Briefings & prep work for eclipse. [KaiXuanMen Hotel, Anji]

ECLIPSE DAY. Very early departure for eclipse site at Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Station Reservoir in Anji County, one of best viewing sites in China. Arrive abt. 6 a.m. Max. eclipse abt. 9:36 a.m. local time (duration ~5m 36s). Wear your eclipse T-Shirts! Transfer back to Shanghai. After lunch at leisure. French Concession walking tour with guide. Discover old Shangahi and its colonial history. After lunch afternoon flight to Guilin. Reed Flute Cave. [Sheraton Hotel, Guilin]

Li River Cruise to Yangshuo. Disembark Xinping old town, lunch & short walking tour of this old town. Drive to Fuli old town (local fan factories). Then drive to Yangshou. Rest then leisure time on famous west street before dinner. After dinner famous night light & river show, "Impress Liusanjie" on Li River. Paradesa Resort, Yangshuo]

Yangtze River Cruise. Take luxury express train to Chongqing, a very nice & special experience (abt. 3.5 hrs, no smoking, soft seats). Whole day visit to Mutianyu Great Wall of China with its dramatic hills & ridges. (Better view here and also fewer tourists.) Can choose long hike (1.5 hrs) or take cable care (40 min.). Return to City with free time. Evening at leisure with freedom to dine on own (with our recommendations). Suggest Wang Fu Jing area and Back Sea Bar with lots of nice bars.
