Spacious Public Rooms and Elegant Staterooms

MS Volendam
Click Above Image for Deck Plans

Our sixteen-day Indonesian cruise from Singapore south and east through the China and Java Seas to the Makassar Strait skirting Indonesia's archipelago islands is aboard Holland America's spacious and luxurious ms Volendam. This medium-size cruise ship is large enough to provide abundant amenities and activities but small enough to provide personal service including exceptional service for the physically challenged.

Maneuvering on the ms Volendam is easy. Both the ship's size and layout help make it comfortable within minutes and one usually does not feel crowded (an advantage for eclipse observing). The ship also has many hidden nooks for those who wish to get away.

Artful floral motifs throughout the ship's spacious public rooms and elegant staterooms give the ship a beautiful garden theme. An abundance of floral fabrics and tapestries, and huge vases of tropical floral arrangements and chrysanthemums complement the ship's artwork and interior flower theme. Features of the ship include the Crow's Nest with its panoramic views, Explorations Coffee Cafe with well-stocked library and games, various dining options including an alternative restaurant, children's and teen areas, and a Microsoft® Digital Workshop. Staterooms include interior and exterior cabins, some with verandas and deluxe suites.
