On the Mantanzas River Eclipse Morning. A foggy morning preceded a total lunar eclipse later than evening (6:32 p.m. EST) at St. Augustine, Florida, 2003 November 8. Cropped and post processed. Camera: Canon Film 35mm SLR.

Rosemary Hill Observatory of the University of Florida, Bronson, Florida. A time exposure was made while the observatory dome was rotated by J.P. Oliver with dome slit open. This allowed interior to be seen (illuminated by dome lights) with upper end of the observatory's 30-in. reflecting telescope made visible. A separate exposures was made for the exterior walls illuminated by car's headlights. The two exposures were then combined in department's darkroom by A.G. Smith. A Lone Tree at Flamingo. A lone tree sits on the shoreline of Flamingo, an unincorporated community and ghost town at the southern tip of Everglades National Park, Florida. It is now the southernmost headquarters of Everglades National Park and the southern end of the only road (39.3 miles or 63.2 km) through the park from Florida City. Photo taken 2009 April 28. Kangaroo Island, Australia. Kangaroo Island is Australia's third-largest island, after Tasmania and Melville Island. Kangaroo Island lies off South Australia mainland, southwest of Adelaide and is a wildlife and geologic paradise.
