I was sad to learn of the loss of Uncle Mel—Moshe ben Meir Zalman HaKohein ve Taybel. I offer my heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family. Heidi [wife of Michael] and I are so blessed to have known Mel and we continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Uncle Mel was so good to us over the years and a real mentch.
It meant a great deal to me that I was able to co-officiate at the service and shiva with your brother and spend time with you in Florida at this difficult time. You and the members of your family have been blessed to know such a wonderful human being. Mel will truly be missed and remembered by so many people whose lives have been touched because of his generosity and genuine concern for others . Please call on me if there is anything I can do for you.
May you be comforted among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
